13th Annual Children’s Hospital Radiothon Kicks Off in Regina

Southern Saskatchewan’s largest annual fundraiser for the new provincial children’s hospital, the Children’s Hospital Radiothon presented by CIBC Wood Gundy, kicks off tomorrow at 5:30am from the lobby of Hill Tower II in Regina.

Broadcasting live on 620CKRM, MY92.1, and 104.9 The Wolf for 23 hours, the 13th Annual Children’s Hospital Radiothon in Regina will feature over 100 interviews from children, families, supporters, and special guests from across the province. Six-year-old twins Morgyn and Myla Moule of Weyburn are this year’s Children’s Hospital Radiothon Ambassadors. The twin girls were born at only 32 weeks gestation. While Myla was in NICU for 22 days, Morgyn faced a serious heart condition that meant open heart surgery in Edmonton at just 8 weeks old. Morgyn spent 94 days in hospital before being able to go home with her family.

The two day fundraiser also features a social media match by K+S Potash who will donate $2 for every tweet featuring the #KplusS4Kids hashtag and every “Like” to the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan’s Facebook page. CP will match those donations, making each Tweet/Facebook “Like” worth an incredible $4.

Since it began in 2003, the Children’s Hospital Radiothon has raised over $3.3 million for both urgent pediatric equipment needs and the province’s new children’s and maternal hospital.
