Edward and Vivian Pylypiuk Leave a Lasting Legacy for Saskatchewan Kids

The family of Edward and Vivian Pylypiuk are proud to announce that a new Family Quiet Room at the Children’s Hospital of Saskatchewan will be named in their honour, thanks to their generous bequest of $258,362.

Eddy and Vivian exemplified the true prairie spirit of hard work, pride in their heritage and love for their family, friends and community. Lifelong residents of the community of Wynyard, the couple was grateful for the full and complete life they shared together. And since kindness and consideration for others were qualities they exuded with pride, it was no surprise when family learned that a generous gift to the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan was left in their will. Eddy and Vivian’s love of children had inspired them to make a contribution that would impact the health of children in Saskatchewan for generations to come.

The new Family Quiet Room, located in Pediatric Emergency, will provide a comfortable, private area for families to wait or gather together. The space will offer support and healing away from the bustle of the ER, giving families much needed peace at was is often a difficult time.

Eddy and Vivian blessed all who knew them with their life and will continue to bless the lives of the Saskatchewan children and families through their generous gift. The generosity and forethought shown by Edward and Vivian serves as a reminder that anyone can make a difference in the lives that follow. All you have to do is believe it’s possible.

Children’s Hospital of Saskatchewan will serve pregnant women, mothers, babies, children and teenagers from across the province, offering leading edge healthcare equipment and technology, research programs and innovation – all with a focus on family-centred care.
