Federated Co-Op & Roughriders Donation

Saskatchewan children will once again benefit thanks to the partnership between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Federated Co-op with a donation totaling $111,400.00 from the sales of Rider branded and themed products that were sold this year in retail co-operatives across Western Canada.

Popular Rider branded and themed items included:

  • All Dressler Potato Chips – an all dressed chip featuring Weston Dressler
  • Game Day Approved Tortilla Chips
  • Darian’s Darios – a limited edition cereal featuring Darian Durant
  • Game Day Approved Facial Tissue – two decorative boxes (home and away)
  • Kick-Off Coffee – premium dark roast coffee beans in a collector tin
  • Game Day Approved Beef Jerky
  • Limited edition Saskatchewan Roughrider barbeques
  • Rider Sliders Mini Prime Rib Beef Burgers
  • Saskatchewan Rough Rider windsocks – two collector’s windsocks
  • Game Day Approved Hot Dog and Hamburger Buns
  • A series of four collector’s footballs

Members of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, including Chris Getzlaf, Mike McCullough and Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Steve Mazurak, were on hand for the presentation by Scott Banda, CEO of Federated Co-operatives Limited to the President and CEO of the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan, Brynn Boback-Lane.

“The Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan is honored to be working with the Co-ops and the Saskatchewan Roughriders,’ said Boback-Lane. “Family and children are what this Foundation represents, and we are proud to partner with organizations that value what we value. Their efforts to increase funds for the new Children’s Hospital of Saskatchewan are truly appreciated and it shows what co-operation can do to help a community and its children.”
