Gala sponsors continue support for kids in hospital

For the past seven years, Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Jeans & Jewels Gala has been an unforgettable night filled with delicious dining and great entertainment, all to help the babies, kids, moms-to-be and families of Saskatchewan.

This year the Jeans & Jewels Gala presented by Mosaic scheduled for May 1 at the World Trade Center Saskatoon at Prairieland Park has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Despite the event not going ahead this year, the presenting sponsor Mosaic and a number of other sponsors stepped forward to turn their sponsorships into donations, recognizing the ever-present need for funding within the hospital. 

This also includes support from Broda Group, Save On Foods, Graham Construction, Sofina Foods, Mine Supply, TD Bank Group, Duane and Bev Smith, The Luxus Group and Ena Lake Lodge, Colliers International, Mister Print and Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation.

“Mosaic is proud to continue our support of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital. As presenting sponsor of the Jeans & Jewels Gala fundraiser, we understand the financial impact of cancelling such an event, and support the decision to redirect those funds to much needed relief efforts during this pandemic. We’re all in this together, even while apart,” said Sarah Fedorchuk, Vice President, Public Affairs & Government Relations for Mosaic.

The Foundation would also like to thank the supporters, donors, families, and medical teams who bought tickets to attend the event and chose to convert their ticket purchases into a donation.

“Despite the cancellation of one of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation’s signature fundraisers, we truly appreciate all the support we’re still receiving to help make a difference in the lives of so many sick and injured children,” said Tanner Braaten, Manager, Development and Engagement at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. “During this challenging time, we are extremely grateful to our sponsors who continue to generously support Saskatchewan kids and families in hospital, who use maternal and pediatric medical services every day.”

Next year’s Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Jeans & Jewels Gala is scheduled to take place on April 30, 2021.
