Inspired by Grandson’s Care, Zuks Donate Over $120,000 to Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation

Inspired by the exceptional care their grandson received at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital (JPCH), Bernie and Ruth Zuk have generously donated $122,745 to Saskatchewan’s Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation (JPCHF).

The Zuks’ grandson was born at JPCH during the pandemic in 2020 and when he was seven months old, he unfortunately needed to return for surgery and treatment for an uncommon illness.

“The fact that our grandson has needed care so frequently made us extremely grateful that he was able to stay in the province for treatment. The hospital truly is a place that was designed for our vulnerable young citizens,” explained Ruth.

The Zuks believe that it takes a village to raise and care for Saskatchewan children and are happy to be part of the community that supports the needs of children across the province.

“Philanthropy does not need to be a large gesture. It is simply giving what you are comfortable with to ensure that the youngest citizens of Saskatchewan are able to be cared for close to home. It is heartwarming to know that you are helping with this in some way,” said Bernie.
