KPCL Donates $450,000 to Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation

Young patients, parents, and their medical teams will have access to an innovative new space when the doors open at the new Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital, thanks to a generous a donation of $450,000 by Kelly Panteluk Construction Ltd.

The new Multidisciplinary Assessment Room in the Pediatric Outpatients Department will provide assessment space to help children at risk for issues related to genetic disorders, neuro-motor disorders, metabolic disorders and many other acute or chronic conditions.

“We are very grateful for the support of KPCL in helping to create such a unique space within the new maternal and children’s hospital,” says Brynn Boback-Lane, President and CEO of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. “KPCL’s generosity is helping to ensure that our new hospital has the leading edge facilities and equipment it needs to improve treatment for our province’s children and families.”

The space will allow professionals to work with children and assess their physical and emotional needs, and provide a space for members of the multidisciplinary team, such as physicians, nurses, occupational and physiotherapists, and speech-language pathologists to thoroughly assess children.

“We extend our deep appreciation for KPCL and its generous contribution in supporting state-of-the -art care within the new maternal and children’s hospital,” says Mike Stensrud, Chair, Saskatoon Regional Health Authority. “This space will support our teams’ approach to multidisciplinary care and in developing an integrated plan of care. This is one way in which our care teams in Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital will have what they need to provide a better care experience for the babies, children, teens, and expectant mothers of our Region and our province.”
