Making a big impact for kids one birdhouse at a time
As we soon shift into a new season, it’s the perfect time to place an order to JR’s Designer Birdhouses for yourself or even as a special gift for a loved one.
When you purchase a birdhouse from JR’s Designer Birdhouses, 100 per cent of your purchase becomes a donation to Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Thanks to Remai’s dedication and hard work, each birdhouse donation has added up in a big way to support Saskatchewan kids and families in hospital.
Since 2009, more than $211,500 has been raised for Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation through birdhouse donations.
“It’s wonderful to have a hobby with a purpose that you really enjoy,” Remai said.
From Saskatchewan Roughriders townhouse birdhouses to interactive squirrel feeders, the online catalogue features dozens of unique and colourful designer birdhouses and feeders.
“Through the creativity and marketing of John and Sonja Remai, this couple has helped Saskatchewan’s sick children for over a decade. With John’s beautifully designed and handcrafted birdhouses, Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation has been able to provide the much-needed equipment that is needed within our provincial dedicated maternal and children’s hospital. These birdhouses are a display of love, craftsmanship and compassion that provides our Foundation, through each donation, the opportunity to help sick and injured children across Saskatchewan, and for that support, we are incredibly grateful,” said Brynn Boback-Lane, President and CEO of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation.
In 2009, John and Sonja Remai generously donated $1 million to Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. In 2014, the Saskatoon couple donated another $250,000 to support Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Radiothon.
