MONTREAL CANADIENS ALUMNI GAME CANCELLED

The Montreal Canadiens Alumni Game at Merlis Belsher Place scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 27 in Saskatoon has been cancelled due to weather-related flight cancellations in eastern Ontario and Quebec.

The fundraiser in support of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation was set to feature high-profile players primarily based in eastern Canada, including Richard Sévigny, Patrice Brisebois, Oleg Petrov, Glen Metropolit, Mathieu Dandenault, Pierre Dagenais, Jesse Belanger, Alexandre Picard, Marc-André Bergeron, Saskatchewan’s own Travis Moen, and five time Stanley Cup winner Steve Shutt as coach.

“We’re disappointed the weather is not cooperating and we sincerely apologize for this inconvenience, as we were looking forward to bringing this special event to Saskatchewan fans,” said Brynn Boback-Lane, President and CEO of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. “We’re truly grateful for the tremendous support our community has shown for our province’s children and families in hospital, and we appreciate your understanding of events outside of our control.”

Ticket holders will receive a full refund through EventBrite.
