Provincial Children’s Hospital Radiothon Raises $750,109

Donors from across the province helped raise $750,109 in just two short days at the first-ever province-wide Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Radiothon presented by CIBC Wood Gundy.

The event was broadcast live from the main lobby of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital by 16 different radio stations from across Saskatchewan. Donations from this year’s event will support the babies, kids, moms-to-be and families across Saskatchewan who need specialized care as close to home as possible.

“Thank you to each person who picked up the phone or went online to donate to this year’s provincial Radiothon.  We are forever grateful for your incredible generosity,” said Brynn Boback-Lane, President and CEO of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. “This hospital is making such a difference in the lives of Saskatchewan children and families, and your support will ensure that it continues to be a world-class centre.”

The Foundation would like to thank our presenting sponsor CIBC Wood Gundy, the many volunteers, donors, and families across Saskatchewan, along with sponsors Nutrien, CP Rail, Save on Foods, Daytona Homes, Affinity Credit Union, SIGA, Saskmilk, Viterra, Enbridge, Kal Tire, SaskTel, GMR Electric Motors, Geransky Bros. Construction and our broadcasting media partners.

“CIBC Wood Gundy would like to thank the people of Saskatchewan for their generous support of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Radiothon,” said Kevin Punshon, Branch Manager, First Vice-President and Investment Advisor at CIBC Wood Gundy. “Your donations will further allow many families of this province to stay close to home for specialized care. There are many important causes that we deeply care about and we, at CIBC Wood Gundy, believe our children’s future is amongst them. Again, thank you Saskatchewan! This very moment, you have given many families the gift of hope.”

The event was broadcasted in Saskatoon by 98COOL FM and 600 CJWW and in Regina by 620 CKRM, MY92.1, and 104.9 The Wolf. The live Radiothon could be heard in Prince Albert on Power99, XFM 101.5 and 900 CKBI and in North Battleford on 1050 CJNB, Q98 and 93.3 The ROCK. MBC broadcasted in various locations across the province. The event also hit the airwaves in Yorkton thanks to Fox FM and GX94 and in Melfort on CJVR FM and 750 Beach Radio.
