Casual/Part Time Gift Shop Associate – Sprout Gift Co.

Job Description

Reporting to the Gift Shop Manager, we are looking for a dedicated and highly motivated sales associate key-holder who is ready to take on an exciting role in a growing establishment.  This position is primarily for one to two days per week (currently  Monday to Friday) and calls for a team player who is comfortable working independently within a hospital environment.   A thorough paid training period will be provided.

Primary Duties

•  Greet customers in an open and friendly manner
•  Providing assistance to customer and anticipating their needs as required
•  Maintain an understanding of all products and services
•  Cash handling procedures
•  Working with Square Point of Sale system
•  Comply with all health and safety standards and procedures, including current Saskatchewan Health Authority mandates
•  Ensure adherence to JPCHF employee policies and practices
•  Handle customers’ questions and inquiries in a friendly and professional manner

Requirements

•  Provide an abstract Vulnerable Criminal Records Check
•  Must be comfortable working in a hospital environment and handling sensitive situations
•  Must be comfortable working individually
•  Two years of customer service or related experience preferred
•  Extensive time standing is required as shifts are a minimum of five hours
•  Applicants must be 18 years or older
