Eight Heartfelt Ways to Help Kids and Families This Holiday Season

The countdown to the holidays is on! A great way to start the season of giving is to provide a meaningful gift for everyone on your list.

Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation’s 8th Annual Making Spirits Bright Catalogue includes eight heartfelt gifts for your family and friends that give back to kids and families across the province. Your gift will go even further thanks to the generosity Thrive Wealth Management, who is matching donations up to $50,000. Plus, you can send a personalized e-card to let your loved one know about the impact of their gift.

“We are excited to embark on this new partnership between our wealth management company, Thrive Wealth Management and the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. The Foundation has achieved extraordinary success in bringing the Children’s Hospital to life in our province, and to sustain such an important piece in our healthcare system, continued support is needed,” says Nicole Westerlund, Vice President, Member and Community Engagement. “By matching donations throughout the giving season, we hope we will inspire others to give a gift that truly improves the lives of children and their families in our community.”

“The Making Spirits Bright Holiday Giving catalogue is full of thoughtful gift ideas for the ones you love, while at the same time making a meaningful difference year-round for many Saskatchewan kids and families needing hospital care. Every dollar makes a difference, as you help make this giving season a time for true celebration. Our Foundation is incredibly grateful for every special gift of hope and the new partnership with Thrive Wealth Management,” said Brynn Boback-Lane, President and CEO of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation.

During the 2020 holiday season, donors in 110 communities across Canada, the US made gifts towards our Making Spirits Bright Holiday Giving campaign. Thanks to these generous hearts and a match from Conexus Credit Union an incredible $160,064 was raised. These donations helped kids breathe better, cope with hospital experiences, make needle pokes less painful, provide better access to mobility equipment, protect the smallest and sickest babies, as well as build better childbirth experiences for Saskatchewan moms.

This year’s Making Spirits Bright campaign runs until December 31, with 100 per cent of your gift supports children and families right here in Saskatchewan.
