August 30, 2020 – October 12, 2020
Please see the latest update from the Knights of Columbus Celebrity Dinner committee:
Like many organizations, the Knights of Columbus have had to pivot efforts in response to the pandemic. Typically, at this time of year, we would be promoting our annual Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Celebrity Dinner which we had originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020. Unfortunately, we have had to defer plans for our next Celebrity Dinner into the future.
Now for the good news! The Knights have found another exciting way to continue to support the children’s hospital through hosting an online 50/50. Our 50/50 will start on Sunday, August 30 and run for 6 weeks through to Monday, October 12 (Thanksgiving).
To purchase 50/50 tickets, please CLICK HERE!
1 ticket – $20
3 tickets – $50
5 tickets – $75
Follow along at the website to watch the pot grow in real-time! 100% of the proceeds in support of a Family Comfort Room at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital within the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Chaplaincy support.
We look forward to again hosting you all at the next Knights of Columbus Celebrity Dinner once the “all safe” has been sounded.
Thank you for your kind support of Jim Pattison’s Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Presentation to Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation, December 9, 2018
Garry Meier, Chair of the Knights of Columbus Celebrity Dinner Committee, introduced and thanked the many volunteers for their efforts in not only this year’s dinner but for the many other Celebrity Dinners we have hosted. Without their efforts, this would not be possible. He also thanked Sash Broda – the link between the Foundation and the Knights of Columbus for his assistance in organizing and assisting in various tasks in marking this dinner a success.
He then went on to introduce other distinguished individuals in the room including State Deputy of the Knights of Columbus of Saskatchewan Chris Bencharski from Meadow Lake, Brynn Boback Lane – CEO of the Jim Pattison Children’s Foundation of Saskatchewan and Dr. Givelichan – Head of the Department of Pediatrics at RUH.
Brynn Boback Lane thanked the Knights of Columbus for their many years of supporting the vision of a Children’s Hospital in Saskatchewan. She noted the Foundation is proud to be a partner with the Knights of Columbus and that every child and family will benefit from this hospital.
Dr. Givelichan also thanked the Knights of Columbus for supporting our vision that no child should leave the province to be treated. They should be treated as close to home as possible. Your support will help this happen.
State Deputy Chris Bencharski thanked the Knights of Columbus Council for hosting the Dinner on behalf of the more than 11,000 members in Saskatchewan. He also thanked the many sponsors and donors for their support in making this event such a huge success.
