Calling All Young Heroes!

There’s a hero inside all of us just waiting to get out. You can unleash the power of good for kids in hospital by fundraising at your school. You’ll be helping to Transform Possibilities for sick and injured kids during some of the scariest times in their lives.

Our mission is to inspire philanthropy by connecting communities to support Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital to provide specialized maternal and children’s health care throughout the province and pursue the advancement of innovative research.

What will you do to raise funds for Saskatchewan kids? The options are limitless. Fundraise in your favourite way with your class, schoolwide, or with family and friends. Show your strength and courage for kids who need it by joining the Young Heroes League. Now that’s what we call powerful and inspiring.

If you have any questions or inquiries about getting started, please email JPCHF Community Engagement Manager Samantha Schneider at samantha@pattisonchildrens.ca.

FAQs

Young Heroes League fundraising can be held any day of the school year! Incorporate it into your school by holding it during spirit week or add it to an existing day. Challenging a neighboring school or a classroom down the hall can be a great way to get students excited about the event and help you build momentum.

Increase student participation by making sure the school community knows about your fundraiser. Include the details in your school newsletter and send students home with a letter for parents or guardians. Display Young Heroes League posters in hallways and in classrooms. Tag us in your social media posts on Facebook and Instagram at @pattisonchildrens, on Twitter at @pattisonkids, or by using the hashtag #YoungHeroes.

After the donation amount has been totaled you can submit your cheque and pledge sheets to Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Young Heroes in the Community

Bethlehem Catholic High School had a sweet cake auction fundraiser! Students got creative decorating cakes as snakes, Minnie Mouse, Easter and spring flower themed. Teachers handed out awards including Most Original, Best Use of Colour & Cake of the Year, raising nearly $2500! Thank you to kids supporting kids at Bethlehem!

Georges Vanier Fine Arts School’s seventh and eighth graders set up lemonade stands for students, teachers and the community. It was a huge success, raising over $2,500 and we are so grateful for their hard work!

Bishop Roborecki students held a bake sale fundraiser and raised nearly $700! The group of students had a very successful bake sale to support Saskatchewan kids and families who require specialized health care. We really appreciate the hard work and support!
