At only 10 days old, Jream was diagnosed with immature teratoma, a growing brain tumour, and underwent a seven-hour brain surgery removing 20% of her brain. Jream has had seven surgeries and six rounds of chemotherapy under the age of three. Without Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital in Saskatchewan, Jream would’ve had to leave the province to receive the care she needed. She continues to require the use of JPCH and received her eighth surgery in the fall of 2022.

Choose from eight meaningful gifts that will leave a lasting impact for children and their families in hospital.

Give Where Needed Most
Put your gift to the best use possible by supporting the critical equipment and programming Saskatchewan kids, moms and families require most. Make your gift monthly for an even greater impact and receive a cumulative tax receipt issued annually.

Support Families Through The Unimaginable
Imagine hearing the words, ‘I’m sorry, there is no heartbeat.’ Your donation towards the Empty Arms Perinatal Loss Support Service, helps provide emotional family support, birth and bereavement companionship, photography and meaningful mementos for grieving families. This essential, family-centred care during some of the worst moments for families.

Train Saskatchewan Medical Teams To Provide Life-Saving Care
Children admitted to Saskatchewan’s Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital require specially trained staff to meet their unique needs. Your donation will support a child-sized CPR training mannequin and tools which provide hands-on simulation training. You can help train medical teams to provide the highest quality care when our kids need it most.

Provide Inclusive Equipment To Kids In Hospital
Babies and small children admitted to Pediatric Inpatients and Saskatchewan’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, require specialized equipment to enhance care for their unique needs. Because kids are so small, access to specialty bathing chairs, not only makes the process easier and safer for medical staff and families; but also increases circulation, muscle relaxation and enhances physical comfort. Improved access provides ease for caregivers and enjoyment for children.

Enhance Mobility for Patients In Hospital
Support the gift of specialized wheelchairs to provide the best and safest seating options for kids admitted to hospital. Specialized wheelchairs provide a better quality of life and better ease to participate in programs and therapies during their stay in hospital.

Give A Gift To A Child In Hospital
Bring joy to a child who is hospitalized during special occasions, such as birthdays or holidays. Your contribution will help celebrate these occasions and recognize medical milestones, procedures and tests with a selection of great gifts from at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital gift shop, Sprout Gift Co.

Ease Anxiety With Cast Removals
Casting is often needed after an emergency or operation. Current saws used for removal are loud and vibrate, which can be scary for kids. Help calm a child’s anxiety and trauma when removing their cast with a specialty removal saw that is near soundless. This tool is beneficial for all children, but in particular young pediatric patients who have sensory issues or those that have medical conditions that may impact their comprehension.

Help Families With Financial Barriers
Support of the Conexus Credit Union Family Amenities Fund allows families with limited financial resources the ability to apply and receive assistance. The fund helps to relieve the day-to-day and unexpected costs of having a child stay at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital, such as travel and parking costs, meal vouchers, and grocery needs. Assisting with financial barriers, allows families to focus their energy on their health care journey, and keep them together when they need it most.
