Kortni and Kolbi’s family from Central Butte, SK., knows firsthand the importance of having Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital (JPCH) nearby. The family has already visited Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital 22 times this year to receive care for two of their five children.

Seven-year-old Kortni has Rasmussen’s encephalitis, causing severe seizures that led to multiple brain surgeries. She now receives ongoing treatment at JPCH and remains seizure-free post-surgery.

Twelve-year-old Kolbi has supraventricular tachycardia, a heart condition that caused her heart rate to spike dangerously high. After years of treatment at JPCH, she recently had heart surgery and hopes her next visit will be her last.

The family also experienced the heartbreak of a stillbirth. These experiences have given the family great appreciation for the specialized pediatric and maternal care at JPCH, allowing them to stay in Saskatchewan for the vital care they require.

Enhance Resources for Better Pediatric Care

Virtual Pediatric System (VPS) is an online tool that helps deliver top-quality care to critically ill children in Saskatchewan’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Ensure Every Child Can Communicate and Connect

Every child deserves a voice. This equipment will empower children who face challenges with spoken or written language by supporting or replacing their ability to communicate. Nurturing communication skills can lead to increased literacy, independence, confidence, and social engagement. Your gift ensures access to these tools so children with disabilities that inhibit their ability to communicate can fully participate in their environment.

Assist Families Through Their Health Care Journey

Supporting the Conexus Credit Union Family Amenities Fund allows families with limited financial resources the ability to apply for and receive assistance. Your donation helps to relieve the day-to-day and unexpected costs of having a child stay at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital, such as travel, parking, meal vouchers, and grocery needs. Assisting with financial barriers allows families to focus their energy on their health care journey, and keep families close when they need it most.
