CN Miracle Match Boosts Fundraising for the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan

Local fundraising for the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan will be taking on a whole new twist, thanks to the added support of the CN Miracle Match program. In front of an excited group of children and families hosting a lemonade stand fundraiser for the Foundation, CN announced its commitment to match all donations raised through independent fundraising initiatives held in support of the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan, up to $300,000.

CN Miracle Match is a national charitable initiative that CN launched in 2006, which rallies communities across Canada behind a very worthy cause – supporting children’s hospitals. Funds raised in support of the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan before December 31, 2014 through approved events and initiatives throughout the province, will be matched through the program.

“The Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan is important to us,” said Claude Mongeau, CN President and Chief Executive Officer. “CN has more than 1,000 employees living and working in communities across the province. They and their families can count on receiving the finest healthcare now and in the future at the new Children’s Hospital of Saskatchewan. The CN Miracle Match will allow us to support important equipment and programs that are so essential to all Saskatchewan residents.”

“Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan is grateful to CN for supporting our shared vision of building a safe and healthy future for all Saskatchewan children and families.” says Brynn Boback-Lane, President and CEO of the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan. “This is exciting news for those hosting events to support the work of our Foundation. From lemonade stands to golf tournaments, money raised by individuals and groups from across Saskatchewan will have an even greater impact because of the generous dollar for dollar match through the CN Miracle Match program.”
