Jim Pattison Children's Hospital RadiothonJim Pattison Children’s Hospital Radiothon is a two-day live radio broadcast airing on 13 radio stations across the province. This annual fundraiser requires volunteers to fill phone bank shifts, take on-site pledges, verify and process pledges and other activities (all generally during a 2-3 hour shift). Learn more about the Radiothon.

Over 650 guests attend our signature fundraiser each spring. The gala is well known for its fun and relaxed atmosphere, delicious food, entertainment and incredible live and silent auction items. Putting on an event of this scale requires a lot of support, and we rely on the dedication of volunteers to help with pre-event committee work, set-up and take-down, silent auction payment, raffle sales, guest registration, and the construction of decor items.

This volunteer opportunity consists of people from across Saskatchewan who act as representatives for Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation at various events throughout the year. Our speakers have compelling stories that tie into the work of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation and they speak to the need for a dedicated maternal and children’s hospital for Saskatchewan by sharing their personal experiences. They help our supporters understand the impact their donations are making – today and in the future.

Our ambassadors are:

  • Passionate about serving their community
  • Interested in sharing their personal story
  • Have a desire to make a difference
  • Able to attend events in their geographic area when requested

Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation is seeking Saskatchewan teachers who would be interested in planning a fundraiser with their class for our school-based fundraising program, Young Heroes League.

Occasionally, we need volunteers to help with general office tasks like stuffing envelopes, preparing information packages, data entry, answering telephones and preparing seasonal gift bags for kids in hospital. This work is on an on-call basis.

Dr. Marcus Wellbear is a friendly bear with a busy schedule! We are always looking for outgoing volunteers to wear our mascot costume at the many special events where Marcus is invited to come and play. Being Marcus is a great way to support the image of the Foundation. It’s a fun way to be imaginative, engaging and energetic . . . and a great excuse for clowning around!

Many community fundraisers in support of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation need volunteers. Visit our Community Fundraisers page if you would like to know more about our upcoming events.

If you’re interested in hosting your own fundraiser in support of Saskatchewan kids and families, visit our Host an Event page for an application form and for details on our independent fundraiser toolkit.
