Uniting Hearts and Hugs: Teddy Bears Anonymous and Saskatchewan’s Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation
Did you know that since 2019, Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. has been a major partner with Teddy Bears Anonymous?
With JPCHF providing support to Teddy Bears Anonymous, the continuation of the distribution of teddy bears to children that require medical attention right across Saskatchewan has expanded. 21 hospitals and 46 Emergency Medical Services in Saskatchewan are participating in the ‘Teddy Bear for Sick Children Program’, provincially delivering teddy bears to sick and injured children, putting kids at ease when they receive health tests or treatments.
“This partnership has enabled Teddy Bears Anonymous and our ‘Teddy Bear for Sick Children Program’ to expand our service in Saskatchewan, regardless of location,” said Luke Lawrence, TBA President.
Saskatchewan’s Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation and Teddy Bears Anonymous have helped bring joy and comfort to kids like Jase. A new teddy bear friend was given to Jace as he underwent surgery this past year.
“Never underestimate the opportunity to give the gift of hope to a child, most especially when they are facing medical challenges,” stated Brynn Boback-Lane, President & CEO of JPCHF. “With Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation serving children’s programs and research across the province, Teddy Bears Anonymous is a perfect partner to give a heartfelt gesture of care that makes the pediatric healthcare journey a little easier.”
The strength of this provincial partnership has helped to ensure that over 190,000 teddy bears have found their way into the arms of our Saskatchewan sick and injured kids.
