Race for the Kids

Sutherland Automotive Speedway understands the importance of having a designated children’s hospital for families in need in Saskatchewan and are proud to provide our fans with an opportunity to enjoy a night out at the races, while providing a much needed donation to a great cause!

Sutherland Automotive Speedway has been around for 63 years, keeping the passion for racing alive! Each year, we choose an organization to support during our Sportsman division special event. This year, we have chosen to work with the Jim Pattison’s Children’s Hospital. Supporting the children’s hospital means we are supporting families across the province who desperately need a place they can trust to care for their sick children. 

We are proud to launch the first annual Race for the Kids on August 24, 2024. At this event, we will be hosting several families who have needed the hospital in the past and will be providing them with a much needed respite from the unimaginable struggles they have had to go through with sick kids. These families will be provided with a VIP race experience, including free entry to the event, along with a catered meal.

Our race fans can expect an incredible night of racing by the Sportsman, Run-Your-Junk and Pro Late Model divisions. To make this event even better, the Sportsman division will be racing 100 laps in their feature race! Along with a night packed full of adrenaline-filled racing, we will be hosting a silent auction, with all proceeds being donated to the children’s hospital. We will also have face painting by donation for the kids! We welcome everyone to purchase some cotton candy, as all proceeds from sales will be donated as well!
