There are many reasons why I want to be involved with this fundraising event. Most importantly, it is for a great cause. As a health care provider, I get to see the impact that quality health care can have on the residents of Saskatchewan. I could not imagine the challenges and stress that come with having a sick child who requires specialized care, let alone having to travel to another province to access that care. By participating in this event, I hope to contribute to ensuring that the care that mothers and children need is available to them at the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital when they need it. I am also participating in the fundraiser because the funds raised stay here in Saskatoon. I have also never participated in a fundraiser such as this, so I am excited to challenge myself to raise funds well above my goal. And finally, the Trash the Dress Charity Event looks like it is going to be an amazing day. I got married in July of this year and was wondering what I was going to do with my wedding dress. Now I look forward to using my dress again to support my community.
