Ervin Ole Braaten leaves legacy gift to Saskatchewan’s Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation

After Ervin Ole Braaten’s passing in early 2023, he generously donated $100,000 through a planned legacy gift to Saskatchewan’s Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation (JPCHF).

Ervin was a community-minded farmer from Rose Valley, SK, who will forever be remembered for dedicating his life and legacy to helping others.

Ervin loved curling, farming and the rodeo. He had a passion for helping people as a firefighter and was a driver for the Shamrock Ambulance when it was first established in Rose Valley.

Through his acts of service throughout his life it is no surprise that even after his passing he wanted to give back to his community.

His generous legacy donation to JPCHF will help provide ongoing provincial enhancements toward transformative care for Saskatchewan’s children and their families.

“We are thankful for Ervin’s care and community focus in his generous planning. His impactful legacy donation will make a difference for children from every corner of the province,” said Laura Gawletz, Philanthropy Manager at Saskatchewan’s Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation.
