Meet Calvin & Sandy, JPCHF Monthly Donors For 20 Years

Monthly donors Calvin and Sandy have helped create sunshine for kids like JPCHF Day of Sunshine Ambassador Jordan, from Regina SK, on their cloudiest days.

As 20-year donors to Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation, their love for their children inspired them to support innovative and world-class care at Saskatchewan’s Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital.

Having witnessed friends who had to go out of province to get help for their medically complex children, Calvin and Sandy saw the importance of having a facility like JPCH in Saskatchewan. “We decided that this is something we hopefully don’t need (for our children), but if we do, it would be nice to have it in Saskatchewan,” said Calvin.

This Day of Sunshine campaign, the Saskatoon couple is encouraging others to become monthly donors to inspire continued transformative provincial maternal and children’s health care in Saskatchewan. 

“It’s easy to do it and you get a sense of satisfaction and pride knowing you’ve helped so many. We feel proud of what’s been built here and the families that are going through the hospital. I’m always amazed by the children; the courage they show and their resilience, and just knowing that we can help. It’s all for the kids,” said Sandy.

During the 2024 Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation Day of Sunshine, your meaningful gift will have double the impact, thanks to an inspired anonymous donor who has offered to match all gifts up to $50,000. Impacted directly by the specialized care provided at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital, their inspiring gift will amplify provincial support towards the continued enhancement of pediatric and maternal health care across Saskatchewan.
